Portfolio

The AT&T Byron Nelson - Digital Prints

As an Operations and Tournament Services Intern with the AT&T Byron Nelson, I was granted the opportunity to design, develop and publish many initiatives. Inserts in Pro-Am gifts, Credential Boards used for Security purposes, as well as player packets for Pro-Am Participants were some of many projects that I was given. As the only full time intern that saw through the build, event itself, and tear down, I had my hands in all departments, giving me a full look at what it takes to run a large scale event. For more information on my experiences as an intern with this event, please visit the resume page to see a comprehensive list of duties and responsibilities.

Royal Oaks Country Club Communications

In the brief period of time that I worked as an Assistant Golf Professional and Operations Assistant at Royal Oaks Country Club, I was gifted with the opportunity to act as a communicative manager, relaying important announcements to the club membership through their Club Central email and marketing system. Above, you will find a few designs that were included in marketing messages, emails, and weekly club announcements. This project specifically handled communications and promotions of annual Demo Days, in which vendors from esteemed golf equipment providers set up club demonstrations personalized to each customer. Members were encouraged to schedule a time slot in which they could try the latest wedges, irons, woods, hybrids and drivers from each brand. These promotional flyers were distributed both digitally and physically to members.

Studio Movie Grill Market Research

My most recent project was conducting Marketing Research for Studio Movie Grill, a widely know Movie Theatre chain who competes directly with AMC, Cinemark and Regal Cinemas. After consulting with the Marketing and Executive Management teams at their Dallas corporate office, my team and I sought to determine what kind of movie subscription model SMG customers would be most interested in purchasing. The PDF file above includes the final report, with a detailed account of the process by which responses were gathered, the survey questions asked, analysis conducted through XL Data Analyst, and most importantly, the valuable insights derived from the research project.

Tournament Informational Materials

Throughout my Academic and Professional Career, I have created many promotional materials. The attached PDF File is one example of many of these marketing materials. This one in particular is an informational packet regarding the UT Dallas Texas Cup, a NCAA Collegiate Golf Tournament hosted by the UT Dallas Golf Department. A schedule of events, information about the venue, pricing, as well as accommodations in the area are highlighted. This formatting is similar to what I use when developing marketing materials, but can be altered according to the context of the event being promoted and the client's preferences. I created a similar packet, accompanied with invitations, for a National Championship Invitational during my time as an intern for the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour, now based out of Orlando, FL.

International Expansion Marketing Plan

This Global Business Marketing Project was developed by myself and a group of Graduate Students at UT Dallas. We were assigned to take a US based business and then create a Marketing Plan to expand it to another region of the world. We selected a food delivery service, Foodsby, and created a detailed plan of implementation to extend the business to the densely populated cities of South Korea. The sections of the report I concentrated most heavily on included the Target Market, Industry Analysis, and Financial Considerations. With the increasing trend of globalism, this project expanded my personal understanding of the considerations required to find success amongst diverse markets.

Original Marketing Plan

This Marketing Plan was developed by myself and a group of Graduate Students at UT Dallas. We were asked to research and create a mobile application that appeals to Millennials and Generation Z, and then develop specific marketing strategies that would help the platform find success. Our idea was a social networking app that tracks a user's engagement with social service or charity activities/ donations. I was in charge of the preliminary research and all aspects of the projected costs and the financials. In a growing age of digital and cyber services, this plan is relevant to the competitive landscape, capturing the evolution of fiscally successful products.

Brand Audit

In a Brand Management course, myself and a group of classmates performed a Brand Audit analyzing the inventory and strategies of a particular brand. With the chosen company, Coca Cola, I was tasked with evaluating customer knowledge, customer segmentation, consumer behavioral segmentation, and brand awareness. I created a perceptual map and a consumer mental map, and summarized the team's recommendations and final thoughts. Through the duration of this project, I gained significant knowledge that helped me to better understand how all of a brand's operations contribute to executive marketing strategies. You can view the group's final PowerPoint presentation in the PDF file above.

Estee Lauder Strategic Analysis

In a capstone course to earn my Bachelor's Degree, the pinnacle project of the class was to conduct an in depth analysis of a firm of personal selection. I chose the Estee Lauder Company due to the corporation's wide range of operations, product selections and unique marketing strategies. The report comprised of Internal and External Analyses, Current Strategies, Focal Problems, and Final Recommendations moving forward. With a focus on capturing interest from future generations, the report provides valuable insights to the cosmetics industry, based on extensive research and analysis. This project captures many components of my academic career at UT Dallas. You can find the completed work in the PDF file above.

Google Online Marketing Challenge

The Google Online Marketing Challenge is an annual opportunity given to domestic and international marketing students. By forming a team of fellow classmates, students are encouraged to find a small, local company interested in building an established online marketing presence. The team is then responsible for creating, adjusting and maintaining an online marketing campaign through the use of the Google Adwords Analytics system. I took part in this contest in a Digital Marketing class. Myself and five other classmates helped Archie's Guitars, a local guitar shop in Richardson, TX, generate traffic and secure new customers. Through this challenge, I became Google Adwords certified, a certification I am sure to update annually, and also learned the important factors that contribute to effective Search Engine Optimization. The above report summarizes the group's pre-campaign goals, post-campaign results, the budgeting, as well as additional feedback acquired through our efforts.

Rebranding Marketing Plan

Richard Bowen, known for his involvement in blowing the whistle on Citigroup's unethical practices during the 2008 Financial Crisis, now devotes a large majority of his time to public speaking. He recounts his experiences as a Whistleblower, and encourages ethics in financial operations. As a part time professor at UT Dallas, Bowen organized a contest for Marketing students to help revitalize his speaking services. Completed in the form of a group Marketing Plan, my group took a bold approach, and rebranded his entire platform. We suggested that he transforms his ethical speeches into motivational, spiritual, life coaching themes that better serve a wide variety of people. Not only were we able to explore creative alternatives, but we were also able to further explore the important components of a Marketing Plan put into the context of a realistic situation.
